A nurse who worked at the same East London hospital for thirty years and was beloved by patients on the geriatric ward.

Career and community

Joined the NHS in 1981. Promoted to ward sister. Refused further promotion that would have taken her off the floor.

Mentored younger nurses, especially those navigating cultural questions for Muslim patients in palliative care.
